EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization
and Reprocessing

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) is a scientific technique to resolve the after-effects of a traumatic event.

A traumatic event occurs when you think to yourself (rationally or irrationally), "I might die!" and a few weeks later it is still in your mind with very similar if not exactly the same sensations. The event can be enormous or it can be seemingly insignificant, but if it is stuck in your mind, it qualifies as trauma in regard to EMDR.

If your thoughts, emotions, sensations, and behavior do not match up the way you want them to, you may benefit from EDMR.
